Scriptures and Chairs booklet

I followed 28 floral prompts in February as a guiding direction to make some chair art. Each day Amanda Evanston from Insider’s Studio gave us a prompt as a challenge to make art that illustrated that word. It was definitely a challenge. I was only able to produce that many pieces due to the snowy weather and staying home.

I used a gelli plate to begin my paintings and cut out chairs to stencil from as my starting point. It was definitely a challenge to fulfill the prompts and stay on task each day.

Currently 3 of the 28 chairs are hanging at The Highlands in Ashland. If you go by and see them take a selfie and email or message it to me and I will send you a tiny chair print in the mail.

I do not have the chairs in the website shop area yet. The next couple of weeks is going to be spent on updating and figuring out the website and how to utilize it. Lol However, if you are interested in purchasing a framed original I have 6 pictured here. They are $50 each and I accept Venmo, PayPal and cash or check. If you want me to ship one I would imagine postage would be an additional $12.

I also used some of the designs to make cards. They will be in my Etsy shop this week. Or you can reply back to the email. Cards are $10 per 5 pack, $5 to ship.

The really special product is the booklet. I did not set out to make a booklet. But they all looked so sweet in a grouping I decided to do a little more with them. I have all 28 prompt chairs, plus the additional one on the cover. Each page has scripture under the individual chair. It falls in the range as more than a card and less than a hardback book. They have been printed on a 60lb matte finish paper. Booklets are $12 each, or $10 each if you are purchasing more than 1. Shipping is $7 per book.

I would love to have you tell me in the comments if you had a favorite chair or a favorite verse. Email me at JulieRheaLewisArt@gmail.com if you are interested in purchasing.

Also, Kim Pepper has an online art site where she hosts art classes about Bible Journaling. Currently she is promoting FaithFest 2026. It is free today. You can watch videos of artists taking one verse and making a creative journal page from it. Or you can make one yourself. After today it is a paid class to watch. It is truly amazing to see what the 12 artists have created for the scripture. Here is a link if you have a few minutes to watch. And guess what!!!! I will be teaching an online art journal class for her in June about reflecting God’s love. Beyond exciting !!!!! https://www.kimpepper.com/a/2148239447/rE3DRTMF
